Why Does My Windows Firewall Keep Turning Itself Off?

By AntiVirus Posted in: ZoneAlarm

I recently got a virus and installed Malwarebytes to get rid of it. My other antivirus program is ZoneAlarm and it’s never given me any trouble. However, since then my Windows Firewall has automatically been disabled everytime I turn my computer on. Does Malwarebytes have a firewall that can potentially disable Windows Firewall? Or do I still have some sort of malware on my computer? I have ran a scan everyday of my computer, and Malwarebytes has detected nothing. HELP!

ZoneAlarm is your firewall…leave windows firewall turned off……………..and for your info….it is not a Antivirus product….and neither is Malwarebytes anti-malware….you need a good AV product on the Computer….here’s a good free one to download……..http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-down…

1-Open command prompt with Administrator Preivlages (Right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administraor).
2-Type: “net stop winss” without quotos.
3-When you see message of successful turning off for WOC, type this command: “net start winss” without quotos.
4- Check your firewall, it should turn on.
If you still have problems, let me in the know.
    Good luck
