A Trojan horse, or trojan for short, is a term used to describe malware that appears, to the user, to perform a desirable function but, in fact, facilitates unauthorized access to the user’s computer system. The term comes from the Trojan Horse story in Greek mythology. Trojan horses are not self-replicating which distinguishes them from viruses and worms. Additionally, they require interaction with a hacker to fulfil their purpose. The hacker need not be the individual responsible for distributing the Trojan horse. It is possible for hackers to scan computers on a network using a port scanner in the hope of finding one with a Trojan horse installe.http://trojan-horses-remover.com

You are an idiot to think that there is an anti-virus to protect against ALL of them.
All of those can simply be crypted to make them FUD (Fully undetectable) .
Meaning NO antivirus will recognise it as malicious.

Malware and malicious software is the same: this is software that was created with malicious intentions. This generally encompases other forms: viruses(parasites, that modify other files and attach to them), Trojans (programs, that hide or pretend to be something else so users would download them), Spyware (programs, that snoop users behaviour and send data to someone else).
The problem with terms is that most of antiviruses cover other forms of malware as well, though typically not as good as dedicated anti-spyware (anti-malware) programs, which cover the most of malware except viruses. Thus one needs either Internet Security program (most, if not all of them are paid ones) or combination of several free programs : Antivirus (I recommend Avast), anti-spyware (i recommend Spyware Doctor from http://pack.google.com, it is free) and firewall (for example comodo firewall).
