What Is The “volt” Virus?

So a while ago I was reading a few articles online, and my page quit without me closing it, (weird right?) and Microsoft Security Essentials started flashing away, and the error messages popped up, and I knew I got a virus (somehow, from reading a McDonalds article, it gave me a virus). I went to my antivirus software, and it scanned my PC. But the odd thing was it was just sitting there, not spreading or moving. So I decided not to open the file, and I cleaned it up right away. And that was about it, so I checked to see what virus it was (expecting a worm), and it said it was a volt virus. I work with computers daily, and I have almost studied every virus out there, but I have never in all my days heard of the volt virus. I can’t find any info about it on the web, maybe someone knows?
