Check out http://www.av-comparatives.org/ They are a non-profit, independent organization that tests all the major AV programs against one another in real world situations. If you want facts rather than peoples’ opinions, that’s the place to go.
As an Anti Virus specialist, I use GData (paid version) for AV and Firewall and SUPERAntiSpyware (paid version) for AS. On my Windows 7 laptop I use all free programs: Comodo Firewall and Panda Cloud AV for AntiVirus.
I used Spyware Doctor, didn’t do me much good to be honest. I used the paid version, and there were free programs (like Malwarebyte’s) that could do more.
Kaspersky is good, as is Vipre. Not many people have heard of the one I use because it’s more for advanced users. There are free programs where are ok, like Avira, Avast, AVG, and Panda. I didn’t like Avira or Avast due to the advertising. AVG is crap. MSE is better than AVG, but not the best out there. Panda seems ok so far, but it’s fairly new and I’m still testing it out.
If you want free programs, http://www.techsupportforum.com/security… is a great article to read, and it has some reviews of free programs.
Kaspersky the best complete security,Microsoft security essentials best free
ESET also great security and Avast also good free antivirus
Worst,McAfee,Norton,PCillin and the iolo crap you posted
