I did a computer scan with AVG Anti-Virus. It detected 24 files that were infectind with a Trojan Horse Agent3.ATLI. When it gives me the option to remove all the unhealed files, i click it and it does nothing to the infected files. the files are still there. IF you can please help me fix the probled
thanks

The malware is active, and needs to be shut down for proper removal. Run rkill before you scan, read the description to see why:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download…
After rkill has run successfully, install, and run a full scan with MBAM, it’s free:http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4716-m…
Then update, and run another full scan with AVG.
What operating system are you using? windows vista/7? could be due to file permissions, the files might have been created using an account that AVG cannot deal with.
Lol at the guy saying you have to format your HDD, are you stupid or something? the only reason to de something like that would be if you have a compromised boot sector (I.E., your boot partition has the malicious code in it) but even though that would be the case, AVG would never even know, you most likely have the malicious process running from a different account and AVG is unable to deal with them since UAC is disabling access to the files.
Edit: TROJANS IN YOUR REGISTRY?!?!? where in the hell do you people get these ideas? The registry does not work that way and is only used by applications to store data, don’t tell me you fall for those registry cleaner scams lmao!
Anyway, give this a try, go into safe mode and delete the files manually, if you get an error something along the lines of “Access denied” then those files are owned by a different SID, use takeown and icacles to try to get permissions to delete them, another possibility is that they are being deleted but another program is putting them back after deletion.
I personally do not like AVG. I used it once for about a week and got viruses on my computer. Try going to Google and type in the infection name. go onto a site that will allow you to see what this virus is and a good website will tell you how to get rid of it.
It could be that the virus is in your registry as well. AVG does not do anything for your registry. There is a cleaner program called CCleaner at ccleaner.com. This software may be helpful to clean the trojan out of your registry.
Good luck – but dump AVG and go with another virus protection.
Please update the antivirus with the latest definitions and then restart the computer in safe mode with networking http://www.easy2resolve.com/software-iss… from this link u can get the steps to start the computer in safe mode with networking. then initiate a full system scan. let it to finish. Once it finished, let the application to resolve the threats itself.
once it finished try restarting the computer. most of the issues will be resolved.
Thanks and best of luck.
the steps for you.
1. Go to safe mode with network
2. download a tool
3. FREE scan and remove the trojan.http://trojan-checking.com/
Do you know how to go to safe mode?
restart your computer and press F8 untill there is a option
I THINK THAT THE ANTI VIRUS IS OUT OF DATE
AND STILL IT DOESN’T HAPPEN ANYTHING WITH OTHER ANTI VIRUS
YOU HAVE TO FORMAT YOUR COMPUTER..
Download and run this free anti virus program from microsoft and get rid of AVG. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo…
AVG will deleted the infected files after the restart.
You should perform a scan in safe mode
Verify it again.
