Although, I am not a practising christian, the bible warns us that the end of the world is near. It warns us of famines, earthquakes, nation rising against nation, flooding etc., As far as I can see these things are all coming to pass, just as predicted. I believe that our world is in God’s hands, not ours and there is really nothing more we can do about that. Anyone else agree??
My Computer Is Slow After Installing An Anti-virus.?
Today, most computers will have plenty of memory, however, will encounter a common system slow down as the anti-virus scanner is scanning all files on the computer to see if they’re infected. You can often determine if an anti-virus scanner is scanning your computer, stop the scanning, and change how often and when the scanning should occur by opening the anti-virus properties. To do this right-click on the icon associated with the anti-virus in the Windows Systray (bottom right portion of the screen) and view the Control Center or Properties of the scanner.
How Do I Disable My Antivirus Program In Windows?
Locate the antivirus protection program icon on the Windows Notification area. Below are some examples of what your program icon may look like.
McAfee, Norton, and AVG examples.
Once the antivirus icon has been located right-click the icon and select disable, stop, or something similar. In some cases you may need to launch or open the program control center and disable the program from the menu that appears.
If following the above recommendations do not help you with disabling your antivirus scanner you can also boot into Safe Mode, which will not load any third-party programs including the antivirus program. This is helpful for times you’re concerned about the antivirus program interrupting a program during an install.

even when I try to run my antivirus on safe mode with networking as an administrator it prevents me from opening the program. I even selected “no proxy” in my internet options as recommended. Nothing helps. I’ve never had anything quite like this. Help!
FYI: I use the latest version of Mozilla Firefox and I have Window XP.
I had another antivirus program, but when I was unable to start it, I thought there was something wrong with it, so I uninstalled it and installed AVG. But this nasty virus is preventing me from starting up my antivirus.
