Is Pc Safe Doctor Legit?

By AntiVirus Posted in: trojan

I recently downloaded an anti virus program called PC Safe doctor. I was wondering if anyone knew if it was safe to use. I’m already concerned about the fact I can’t find a single thing about it on the internet, other than from the site itself. Upon running the scan it is telling me that some of my games are “backdoor trojans” all of which are from shockwave which I have a membership with and have been using for years, in which I have never had a problem with malicious software, nor has the site had any reports about viruses in their content. It also says the same thing about my instant spyware protector, which is through Iobit 360, it has had a good name with no reports against it and most computer techs I go to recommend it. Could it be that some of my games and downloads got infected by something after downloading it? Or is pc safe doctor one of those rogue anti-viruses?

First, never run mre than one anti-spyware/virus on a ,machine, they conflict and reduce security. Second NEVER install any such program unless you have checked it out first. It is too late when it has already installed masses of spyware itself. This is rogue anti-spyware according to every report I see on the Internet. You now need to download a good spyware remover. I suggest the free scanner from :http://malwarebytes.org and run the FULL scan. Then look at some of the good free active security security programs to install. I prefer AVG from http://free.avg.com, there are also Avira, Avast and a lot more available. Keep Malwarebytes on and update every 2 to 4 weeks, it can remove anything that gets past your active protection.,

don’t install software from unknown vendors is rule nr.1, so you did it anyway and ignored a warning or 2 from windows probably.
