Is It Possible To Install A Antivirus Or Firewall On My External Harddisk So That Infected Files May Not Enter?

Is it possible to install a antivirus or firewall on my External Harddisk (WD Elements SE 500GB) so that infected files may not enter the harddisk? There are alot of OS (U3, mojopak and Ceedo ) designed to run applications using the external harddisk and those are not what i’m looking for. They run applications or software not protect the harddisk. They only open your antivirus and then scan the disk like you used to scan normally. How to prevent infected files or virusses from even entering the harddisk. As they said, prevention is the best medication. Anybody heard anything like this before?

Your anti-virus will protect your computer. If you are transferring a file from your pc to an external HD, it will already have been checked when it came onto your computer. You can scan the external but nothing will protect against moving an infected file onto it.

No ! you can’t set anti virus to your external hdd.
