There are a few things wrong as usual with my Toshiba Laptop. I’m a college study with no extra expense allocated within my budget to use Tech Support. One of my problems is that sometimes for no reason Firefox changes into safe mode. Some links don’t work and when I try to restore my system to another day. I have tried several times, however a sign shows up that I must disable my anti virus. When I do that, I get the same message. What I would like to do is start over from factory settings. The thing is, is that I don’t recall Toshiba sending me a windows program. Can someone tell me how to set my comp. to factory settings?
Thanks to anyone who offers advice!

1. Restart the computer.
2. Repeatedly tap the F8 key until you see the Advanced Boot Option Screen.
3. Select Repair Your Computer and hit Enter.
4. Select your country >> OK.
5. On the System Recovery Options Screen select Restore Application.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.
8. When prompted, select on “Full Factory Recovery”
9. Select Next >> Yes.
10. After a couple of minutes the recovery will be completed.
this is for windows 7
Depending on how old your laptop is if it didnt come with disc the do this
make sure computer is turned off, then hold down zero kkeep holding it turn on the computer while holding zero, then once u see the toshiba screen let go of zero and.u should see a white line on the bottom.of the screen, that will take you to system recovery then just follow the.directions
It either has a partion that contains a backup, which may be accessible by pressing somehting like F11 or F12 on startup.
It may also give you the option of creating restore disks yourself from within Windows, but you must supply writable DVDs.
