I Accidentally Clicked On A Link On A Website, And It Downloaded Something That I Definitely Didn’t Want?!?

By AntiVirus Posted in: antivirus

Basically, I was searching for something on Google, and on one of the websites that I clicked on, I accidentally clicked on something and it downloaded something! I didn’t install the download thing, and I deleted it from my downloads. But I was wondering if it could still be doing damage to my computer? I’m using a Mac. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
And if you know any free, safe and reliable Mac antivirus software, that would be great!

If you downloaded it without running it, then there’s no chance that it did anything to your computer.

if you computer is not behaving in and wired ways then i wouldn’t worry about it, plus Mac a know to be less likely to get a virus due to the smaller install base compared to windows, but if you would really like a free Anti Virus for you Mac check this Antivirus out called Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac Home Edition you can get it here http://www.sophos.com/en-us/products/fre…

    Norton 360.
If you’ve deleted it, I’m sure everything is fine! Don’t be so stressed.
