i am using kaspersky and it insists that i dont use any other anti-viruses and i didnt mind but im lending it to a friend and i know he has viruses. Is there any way i can install an anti virus on it

You can install any program on any drive, but you need an operating system to be able to run it. Just because it is installed on a portable drive doesn’t mean it runs. Best option is when you get the drive back run your anti-virus software and scan the portable drive.
