How Do I Get Rid Of A Trojan Horse?

By AntiVirus Posted in: AVG Anti-Virus

Today while I was on Youtube on the house PC a pop-up from AVG Anti-Virus(2012 free edition which the PC has) appeared saying there was a threat detected. The threat is ‘Trojan horse crypt.ANVH’ which it says is critical but will not delete because of where it is and will make sure i dont access area/files infected. So i scanned the pc with Malwarebytes AntiMalware which i have used on various pcs/laptops to get rid of viruses but in this case it did not detect a threat. IS THE THREAT REAL AND HOW DO I GET RID OF IT? PLEASE READ BELOW AS WELL
And in coincidence a number keeps calling the house today and until the 3rd time i answered. It was some guy who I couldnt understand(Indian i believe) saying that they were receiving signals/messages from the pc, that they were bad and cause the pc to crash but i got frustrated because i couldnt understand him and he ended up hanging up on me. Im thinking theyve hacked into the pc and are looking for credit card information idk. WHAT SHOULD???? A GREAT ANSWER WOULD BE GREAT HELP!!!!!

Run rkill, it’s a small executable, no need to install. Read the description to see why you should run it:http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download…
After rkill has run successfully, update, and run another full scan with MBAM (MalwareBytes)
Then update, and run another full scan with AVG.

For now it might be a job for Norton or Bit Defender. They both offer after scan deep probe. Maybe a recovery disc will wipe out the intruder. Maybe, maybe and more maybe
