I’m making someone a cookie cake for their birthday and I want to know how I can make it so the top is flat instead of rising. Is that even possible? Thanks in advance.

Place a sheet of foil on top of the cookie dough. Add dried beans or raw rice to the foil. This will prevent the cookie from rising while baking.= )
Whenever I need the top of a cake to be perfectly flat, I use a long knife to slice away the elevated part of the cake layer. Then, frost it and decorate it.
Another method is to slice off the elevated part and turn the cake layer upside down. The bottom of the layer is flat.
Now, I really don’t know what you mean by a cookie cake? I’m assuming you want to make a cake that looks like a cookie?
well first off you don’t really need to make a cake. just make a big batch of their favorite cookie and shape the dough into a heart which is always cute. then decorate the top as you would a cake. i wouldn’t use frosting but those cake decorating gels. that’s what i do as i can’t afford the ones that mrs. fields makes for just those special occasions. it’s really easy to do. trust me !! have fun !!!!
put it in a pizza pan to cook it and roll it out evenly with a rolling pin, that way when it rises, at least it will rise evenly so that it is flat
Just do not let it rise.
what do u mean by rinsing?
dont let it rise
