Having Internet Issues? Windows 7?

By AntiVirus Posted in: ZoneAlarm

Alright so yesterday I downloaded a torrent :S and I believe it was infected, Zonealarm alerted me about 15 times saying to reboot so a deep scan could be commenced, I do that and this is where the serious issues occur, can’t boot and it says OS not installed, here I panicked, for some unknown reason there weren’t any restore points miraculously after an hour I rebooted again and it started up normally, I go in delete the torrent data and everything and realise that I’m connected to “the network” but no internet access (the yellow triangle with exclamation mark) so I leave the deep scan to run for the next 24 hours and it didn’t find anything which I found weird, next I run Malware Bytes and it finds 7 things, they all get deleted I reboot my PC yet still the internet won’t work. My laptop/ipod/other wireless devices work and I can browse on them, yet not the Desktop where the virus’ were, It’s exam season I really need the desktop for school (laptop not fast enough etc), my parents rarely go on it, but if my dad traced this issue back to me I’d get screwed over and most likely banned from using the PC, so I’m really desperate at this point, have been searching forums forever, the windows diagnostic tool isn’t helping (not like anyone really expects it to…) so I decided to come on Yahoo for some help, thank you to anyone who attempts to help me with this rather severe issue I’m having, many thanks in advance and if you can help me I’d be so thankful.
Thanks

    >> Refresh your internet connection
    >> Shutdown your router for minimum 10 minutes so that your back end IP can be change by service provider
    >> Remove your Temporary files from your system
    >> Try to use Reginout for constantly refreshing internet connections

It could be that the Internet Browser application has become corrupted, that files to enable it to open are missing, and you should just re-install it. You can get a copy of Internet Explorer from the bonus disk on PC magazines but you’d need to buy the magazine, though or get a copy from a friend. It is free to use. You’d need Internet Explorer 9 for Windows 7.
