Whenever I start my computer an unknown file that I am not trying to download begins to automatically download. File name is C:\Users\MB\AppData\Local\Temp. I do not allow it to fully download, always cancel it. I went into folder options and made all hidden folders to be shown so that I could find out what kind of file might be causing this. Ran antivrus and malaware from shield deluxe and nothing was found. Went into temp file and deleted everything. Don’t understand where this download is coming from or why it is happening. Can anyone help me with this situation?

C:UsersMBAppDataLocalTemp…No problem dude….As the folder says, it’s a temporary dump folder..!!! Actually it’s good to delete them from time to time cos’ they muck up ur hard disk space……. But don’t delete anything when there are some programs running, no big deal but, some unsaved docs might be stored there….[Quote].
Something from startup launches automatically this download.
To solve the problem :
Click on the Start menu => Run…
Type msconfig and press enter
Click on the Startups tab
Uncheck everything you don’t know
Apply
Restart your computer
Do not worry, you can re-check them if you made a mistake
From what you’ve said, I believe that it is simply a temporary file/folder for a program on your computer to use.
don’t worry too much about it, i can pretty much guarantee you that its not a virus
just let it load up, as by Cancelling it, you might just be forcing it to restart the next time you turn your computer on
What’s the name of the file? All you typed was the directory.
Go into your Web browser and make sure that the download manager doesn’t have anything queued up. If needed, clear all settings in your browser(s) to default.
