My McAfee just expired so I downloaded avast antivirus and ZoneAlarm free firewall. Are there any other types of programs that I should download? Is this adequate protection? Definitely need some strong internet protection from bad sites.

I seem to have a problem updating/upgrading and/or installing the latest version of ZoneAlarm, so I’m now on the search for a better firewall. I don’t want anything to do with Norton software, as I’ve heard bad things about them.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Hello there, I recently uninstalled AVG free because it was taking up too much RAM. But I’m stuck on choosing a free, effective, and fast anti-virus scanner. My computer is pretty laggy (takes forever to boot up, and other problems) and has up to 512 RAM, so I would appreciate some help!

I gonna install firewall program. so, which one of the following firewall program is the best… Comodo or Zonealarm? and why?

Does anyone know any free spyware/adware removal??? I am using avg and zonealarm but they don’t protect against spyware or adware? Has to REALLY be free not just a trial

Is ZoneAlarm Free too heavy for a Dell Inspiron 10 Netbook running XP Home? Will this program slow the computer down? Is there a better free, more lightweight, less system-intensive firewall for a netbook like this?
