Last time I scanned my system with Avira I had 16 Hidden Objects and 4 Warnings. Please take a look:

My ZoneAlarm Firewall has alerted me that it blocked this
port viz,
Generic Host Process for W32 Service
192.168.1.2:Port1307
192.168.1.2:Port4183
192.168.1.1.Port2053
192.168.1.2.(TCP Port 1245) [TPC Flags:AP]
202.71.108.178[TPC Port 5105]
192.168.1.4.Port11570
Can any one tell me :-
1) What these Ports refer to ?
2) By blocking , do they affect any PC function ?
3) What is this “Generic Host Process for W32 Service” ?

So every 10th or so page I click on is getting sent to something slightly related but definitely not (what I clicked on).
It’s always selling something so I clearly have some advanced adware installed.
Neither my paid virus software (zonealarm), nor spybotsd is able to detect it.
What should I do?

I set up zonealarm about 3 years ago, and I forgot the password. Is there any way I can get rid of it?

You are fine on the software protection side.
Don’t get caught up into the ‘anti-virus’ wars where people claim this one is better than that one, etc. etc. Avast is good.

I am having terrible problems trying to uninstall a programme called AppCleaner. I tried going to the Control Panel and removing App_Cleaner with Add/Remove Programs. No luck…..
So I clicked on Start, then AppCleaner and clicked on the programme’s own uninstaller. That didn’t work.
Next I opened CCleaner, highlighted AppCleaner and clicked on Uninstall. USELESS!!!!!
