i need a virus scanner for my old computer but so far none of the scanners(avast,avg ect) support windows 98.
CHECK TO SEE IF THE SUGGESTION IS COMPATIBLE BEFORE POSTING PLEASE.
and dont make any suggestions saying i should update, i dont want to.

avira anti virus

i have an intel
pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.06 GHz,512MB RAM i dont no anything about my graphics card i tried every thing i could in main menu i set everything to low turned off my antivirus, defrag, game booster etc but stiil slow i also switched everything off in ms config still slow every other [...]

I started to download Windows 8 Consumer Preview
I used MagicDisc to upload the Windows.iso file (that contained Windows 8), and then ran it.
It starts to say “Checking for anything you have to do first…,” and then says you must uninstall avast! Antivirus.
So, I went to add/remove programs, uninstalled Avast, restarted my computer, ran the Windows [...]

As long as your iPad is not jailbroken, you don’t need an anti-virus or anti-malware software. For network security, you can always use a VPN to encrypt your iPad internet.

i do have firewall, antivirus etc, someone mentioned that i should get security for internet by hosts file, can you tell me what did he actually mean by that?
