Avira Antivirus Stopped?

   I don’t know Avira Anti virus 100*… but it sound like you had a bad shutdown…
   Here’s a few simple questions and answers.
   1) If the AV isn’t free… did you pay for the month bill that usally goes along with AV? Sometimes they will stop the program from running if you are not.
   2) You can uninstall it and reinstall the program usually will work.
   3) You can start the service your self by going to Start-> Control Panel -> Administrative tools -> Services -> locate the service -> Right click -> Properties -> hit Start -> hit Apply and then Ok.

   The Antivir Guard is a plug-in…that gives you a green or red symbol for the sites your are visiting….Your Avira is still running but the plug-ins are not installed or turned off….go thru your settings and turn it back on…..Avast has a similar plug-in but half the time the darn thing doesn’t work so I disabled it permanently…now I use this instead > WOT which is free…..http://www.mywot.com/
