Antimalware Doctor Virus Appears To Be Gone From My Computer But The Hourglass Keeps Flashing. Any Solutions?

By AntiVirus Posted in: VIPRE

Hey guys,
I recently was misfortunate enough to be a victim of the antimalware doctor virus. After reading several sources of information during the brief few times I could actually get online…I sourced some programs which were recommended so as to eradicate my computer of this virus…I then transferred them to my laptop, from my brother’s laptop via usb but the virus would not allow them to run…it shut down most systems so eventually I had to just restore my laptop to factory settings and cut my losses.
Now my computer seems to be running fine, except for the hourglass which appears every few seconds and lasts for a few seconds, accompanied by a slowing of the computer during these moments. Now after the virus mishap I took the measure of purchasing Vipre antivirus software and have ran a scan, which has found a few issues but no major threats to the system…I also on the recommendation of a friend ran MalwareBytes which found two registry errors but the problem has still not been solved…I then ran RegCure to see if it was a registry error and it found a few problems but still the hourglass keeps flashing…
Does anyone know what could possibly be the source of this issue and any potential solutions??
Many thanks in advanced!

I definitely don`t think it`s a virus, a restore to factory settings would have got rid of that.
Did you restore using restore discs or from within Windows or by pressing key /keys at startup?
Perhaps you have some program running at startup that you`re unaware of.
Type msconfig into the run box – allow – click startup – untick all apart from your antivirus and microsoft programs.

Try disabling Vipre temporally. It might be an antivirus slows PC down a bit, it happened to me with Macafee.
Also, do a scan with superantispyware as well.

RegCure is a biiiig hidden virus.
get avast and run a big scan on avast and malwarebytes.
    problem solved.

The virus perhaps deleted some important software files..

Yes pc security is just some of the false spyware apps hanging around and infecting users. Not even Norton 360 is able to stop this.
Go to http://www.emsisoft.com/en/ en run the online scanner or download the free emergency kit.
    Update and run full scan.
This software has the highest detection rate of any virus or malware scanner in the market, it also has a hijack scanner that you can use to check auto-run and system resources that may run.
